Getting Started with Massage Therapy Group
At Massage Therapy Group, every therapist on our team is carefully selected for their skill, professionalism, and dedication to client care. We encourage you not to delay treatment while waiting for a specific therapist—beginning care promptly often leads to faster relief and improved results.
Most clients are extremely satisfied with their initial session, regardless of which therapist they see first. If you do have a preference, you're always welcome to schedule follow-up appointments with a specific therapist after your initial visit.
Finding the Right Fit: Therapist Levels
To help you better understand our team, here’s a breakdown of our therapist levels and what each designation means in terms of training, experience, and focus.
Associate Therapist (AT)
An Associate Therapist is typically a newer member of the Massage Therapy Group team, though they may bring years of massage experience from other settings. ATs participate in our in-house training and mentorship program to learn advanced techniques, including Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) — a specialized method for addressing pain and dysfunction throughout the body.
Once their bios indicate they have completed training in NMT protocols for the neck, shoulders, lower back, and hips, they are fully qualified to treat those areas and address a range of client concerns.
Senior Therapist (ST)
A Senior Therapist has multiple years of experience working at Massage Therapy Group and has demonstrated proficiency in applying advanced NMT techniques across a range of client needs. In addition to refining their skills through ongoing education, many Senior Therapists have developed a strong, loyal client base due to their consistent and effective care.
Advanced Therapist
An Advanced Therapist is the most experienced tier on our team, with extensive hands-on knowledge treating a wide variety of pain conditions and more complex musculoskeletal issues. They draw upon years of training, clinical insight, and proven results.
