Yesterday was my first time at Massage Therapy Group, and I had an amazing 60 minute massage with Grace. She read my intake form prior to meeting with me so that she was aware of what I was looking for which was some relaxation but focus on my neck where I have a prior injury and aggravation from working at the computer. She quickly identified where I needed additional work as well (tight hips from carrying my little girl!). The massage Grace gave me was exactly what was needed and what I wish massages were like all the time! Grace is so friendly and professional, and highly knowledgeable and skilled. She doesn’t just give the “fluff” massage you get at so many other places even after asking for therapeutic massage. I have found my new massage therapist! I have already booked my next massage with Grace and can’t wait. Thank you Grace and Massage Therapy Group!
Since my initial review I’ve had a second massage with Grace which was fantastic and also a massage with Gail. I have truly found the place I have been perpetually looking for! This place means business when it comes to massage therapy. Many places offer massages, but this place offers true “therapy”. Between Gail and Grace I have found my forever place. I am booking massages every 2-3 weeks until my body understands who is boss again, and after that will maintain with therapy sessions every 4-6 weeks. While it is relaxing to sit in a fancy spa in a robe sipping tea, the type of techniques and personalized therapy offered by Massage Therapy Group is much more valuable as customers receive true and long lasting health and healing. Health and quality of life mean everything!
I rarely write reviews but just needed to share how much my 2 sessions with Gail helped my shoulder/upper back pain. Having been to an orthopedic doctor months prior with minimal results, I decided to see if Gail would be able to help. I am beyond thrilled with how much Gail’s Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) Massage helped me. Gail is so very professional and most definitely skilled. She was able to very quickly understand my situation and address my problem area with success beyond belief! Prior to seeing Gail, I just figured I would have to deal with the pain and lack of shoulder and arm mobility which was definitely affecting my daily life. I have had massages over the years, as a means to relax and enjoy; but, this massage went way beyond. I should have gone sooner. I definitely believe that NMT was at the root of my recovery above the 4 daily Aleve and exercises. While I hope not to have to return for another ailment, I won’t think twice about scheduling an appointment with Gail.
I have been in pain for almost a year now. I have tried everything. Chiropractor, orthopedic, acupuncture, cupping, neurologist, and other massage places, with no help. At physical therapy they recommended this place and I am so happy that I made an appointment. Erika has been loosening my backs and hips with just two visits!! I think i have finally found the right people to help me. I am looking forward to my next appointment and finally feeling better!
Understanding that I was coming as a first time client with foot issues, Gail knew exactly which therapist to put me with. Because of that, I am experiencing much success with Orthopedic Therapy from Associate Therapist, Grace Parker. I wish I had this type of physical therapy when I had finished my 2 foot surgeries. I would’ve been 100% recovered by now, but I wasted my time at Hunterdon Medical physical therapy in Whitehouse on Route 22. I highly recommend Massage Therapy Group. They know what they’re doing! I highly recommend.

I have been seeing Gail for a couple of years and she is, by far, the best massage therapist I have ever seen. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of the human body and knows exactly what muscles to focus on to alleviate pain. I had originally seen her for lower back pain which was greatly relieved by her massages. This year, however, I have started having sinus issues and terrible ringing in my ear. I visited many ENT doctors and found no relief. After one 90 min session with Gail my sinuses completely cleared up and my ear stopped ringing. It was literally like a miracle. I can not recommend her enough. Not only is a she a great masseuse but I thoroughly enjoy our chats during my visit. She’s truly the best. Her space is warm, comfortable, clean and invited. So relaxing and peaceful.
Having pulled my lower back out after months of stretching and self care truly bummed me out. Having just opened a biz. and dealing with that stress, I was a mess and in need of help. I was looking for a basic massage and ended up searching on line for help, I called and spoke with Gail and was set up for next day appt. Thinking I was just getting ” a basic massage”, I was elated to get Gails hands and expertise! She worked my back like I have never experienced and was able to get out of bed the next day with ease. I would HIGHLY recommend this business, especially Gail.
I’d like to add, I have been a massage therapist and consider myself a good judge of professional and exceptional massage. This place is just that! Treat yourself soon.
I saw Gail speak at Clinton Library last year, and had referred my husband to Massage Therapy Group for an ongoing shoulder/back issue that he wasn’t seeing much improvement on from his visits to one of the chain massage locations.. (he was also doing physical therapy). He paid back the favor by getting me a gift cert recently so I could try it out myself. It was my first massage in well over a year, and being a runner and someone who works at a computer desk all day, I definitely needed it! Erika was wonderful – I felt great afterward, my shoulders hadn’t felt that good in a long time! My husband feels you get a more individualized treatment, compared to some of the chains where it can become sort of generic/just going through the motions. Not that there’s ever a ‘bad’ massage, but the extra care and attention to detail at Massage Therapy Group is noticeable and I look forward to continued service and finding some relief for my own muscle issues. Thanks much!
The masseuses in this place are interested in your health and well-being and provide an experience that is second to none.
Expert staff, relaxing rooms, and adequate amenities.
I have always had an excellent experience soooo worth it.
I go for trigger point release, sciatica /bursitis issues, and tense neck and shoulder, and knee.
As a dog trainer, a large part of my work is in front of a computer all week for record-keeping-related tasks so these sessions help with body aches and pains.
I think everyone should try a therapeutic massage. you will be amazed at what can change in your life.

As a long time client of Massage Therapy Group, I have been massaged by Gail, Rachel, and, most recently, Kalina. These therapists are all top notch professionals, always displaying good listening skills, outstanding knowledge of the body and excellent skills. Gail was instrumental in helping me overcome brachial plexus nerve damage 5 years ago, and to get back to a fully active life.
AT MTG, it is more than just massage as we share ideas and strategies on stress reduction and healthier/happier living. It is a chance to take a deep breath and think about finding balance in life.
Most recently, I have worked with Kalina and the results have been great. Gail, you did a great job teaching and training Kalina!
“About two years ago, I was experiencing pain in my lower back. This pain affected my sleep and daily living. My massage therapist at Massage Therapy Group, began treating me specifically for my complaints. She has worked on me weekly for the past two years. Today, my pain is gone! Occasionally I will have some discomfort, which my weekly massage therapy diminishes. I also regularly exercise now about three times a week.”

“Through the Massage Therapy Group, I’ve been able to manage my pain, increase my flexibility and deal with stress better. The massage therapist was able to identify areas that were causing me discomfort and went right to work, with manipulation and hot stones to relax my sore muscles and stretching to restore the mobility I had been lacking. I strongly recommend The Massage Therapy Group to anyone who is looking for pain relief without drugs and a relaxing, invigorating, restorative experience.”
“Gail is my massage therapist whom I would and do recommend often. There isn’t any fluff in her deep tissue techniques. If you have real aches, pains, tightness, nerve entrapment, as I do, then you want a real therapist. And Gail is as real as they get. Knowledgeable, thorough and results-oriented. I wouldn’t be swimming long distances without her assistance. And I also would never have learned where my supraspinatus was! I would also note that Gail is a real down-to-earth good soul of a person too!”
